I've been taking photographs since I was six years old and photography has become an intrinsic part of my life. I enjoy many different photographic genres but I'm particularly drawn to creating impressionistic photographs of the world around me.
Along the way I've picked up a few awards for my photography, including BBC's Countryfile Photographic competition and Trade Photographer of the Year by Digital SLR Photography magazine. I've previously been Chairman of the Licentiateship panel of the Royal Photographic Society and hold an Associateship of the RPS which I achieved when I was 15 years old.

We are blessed with beautiful scenes all around us. I love isolating small scenes within a landscape, or capturing stunning vistas. For me, landscape photography is about removing the clutter and making what might be a complex scene look as clean as possible.

I enjoy making artistic and creative images through various techniques and the sea offers great opportunities to capture pictures with artistic expressions. Techniques including ICM, multiple exposure and post production layering.
Back to GalleriesWildlife photography is always challenging, which also makes it highly rewarding. This is a small sample of my wildlife, particularly birdlife, photographs with images of various species taken around England, Scotland, Greece, Japan and the USA.
Back to GalleriesI enjoy watching various forms of motorsport so this gallery is largely centred around that. I try to give the images a creative twist, usually through slow shutter speeds which gives that all-important sense of speed.
Back to GalleriesThrough my work I'm fortunate enough to enjoy occasionally travel to Japan. These images show three fabulous Japanese cities; Tokyo, Kyoto and Yokohama. Each has its own character but all offer striking opportunities for photographers.
Back to GalleriesAn eclectic mix of subjects and locations, these images focus on either striking colours or shapes and forms - and sometimes both! Some are made naturally and others created using in-camera or post processing techniques.
Back to GalleriesSeveral years ago, I attended a talk by a local photographer who had been using a 3D camera. After seeing the results, I was keen to explore the technique myself. I use two Sigma FP digital cameras mounted together to capture two images simultaneously. These images are later combined using specialist software.
